Romsey Medical Practice gynaecologist Dr Nick Brook recently met with perimenopause, menopause and post-menopause community group, Meet the Foggers!
Meet the Foggers is for anyone going through perimenopause, menopause or post-menopause. A chance to meet others, share experiences, have a laugh (and cry!). They can be found on Facebook by clicking here
The group, which meet at Lemon & Ninja: Refill Shop and Cafe met with Dr Nick to discuss his area of expertise and he commented, “It was quite the change to meet in a different environment than a practice or hospital. I very much enjoyed the hospitality and I hope what we discussed has been found useful.”
Feedback from Meet the Foggers was very positive and we look forward to organise a similar event in the future.
Mighty Hike 3: Team Romsey Medical Practice successfully completed the Lake District Might Hike in aid of Macmillan Cancer on Saturday 17th June. The hike involved 26 miles of narrow paths, rocks, tree routes, sheer drops, hot weather and hills – made it a challenging yet beautiful experience.
Taking part from Romsey Medical Practice was Dr Chris, Nurse Emily and Practice Manager Hannah.
The Mighty Hike series with Macmillan Cancer is a series of one-day hikes that will take you to some of the most beautiful and unspoiled parts of the UK. Dr Chris and Nurse Emily have completed the South Coast and Jurassic Coast hikes over the last two years.
Romsey Medical Practice recently visited Bradbeers Store here in Romsey with some of our medical experts to discuss some of the health concerns within our community.
Dr Nick, our gynaecologist and Natasha Hartwell, our Nutritional Therapy expert both provided talks on their specialist areas to a 75 strong audience.
Mighty Hike 2: Dr Chris, Nurse Emily and James (Emily’s brother) took part in the South Coast Mighty Hike, in aid of Macmillan Cancer.
This hike was 26 miles walking the South Downs Way from Brighton to Eastbourne.
Stoneham Golf Club sponsorship. Romsey Medical Practice sponsored the putting area at Stoneham Golf Course for 6 months.
Dr Chris, comments, “When launching our private GP service we considered those who might need a private check up – being an avid golfer myself, the day-to-day strains that effect most golfers (or any sports people) would be best suited to a quick and convenient private check.”
Mighty Hike 1: Jurassic Coast Mighty Hike. Dr Chris and Nurse Emily were joined by Emily’s brother, James to take on the 26 mile hike, taking in sights such as Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove along the stunning Dorset Coast, England’s first natural World Heritage Site.
Romsey Medical Practice hosted a wellness day to showcase the new services available. Guests were invited to hear talks from Dr Chris and meet Dr Heather (Dermatology), Dr Pete (Private GP) and Dr Nick (Gynaecologist).
Guests were also invited on a tour of the new practice.
Romsey Medical Practice sponsored the Romsey Male Voice Choir; Men United in Song – RMVC in concert event, which featured the phenomenal Treorchy Male Choir.
This event was held on 1st October at Romsey Abbey.
